The Sault Area Hospital Volunteer Association (SAHVA) assists the Sault Area Hospital (SAH) in providing efficient and effective volunteer service that promote and enhance the well being of patients, residents, their families and visitors and provide funds to support hospital projects directed towards patient care and comfort;

By becoming a volunteer with Sault Area Hospital, you are considered to be a member of the SAH Volunteer Association and are most welcome to attend meetings, dinners, or to participate in special events and fundraising initiatives.

You will have an opportunity to meet other volunteers, create lasting friendships and have a memorable time sharing stories and laughs as a member of the SAH Volunteer Association.

The SAH Volunteer Association Executive provides leadership for its mandate of service and fundraising.  The Association operates the Gift Shop and HELLP lottery tickets, in addition to volunteering in patient care areas.  Special fundraisers and initiatives are held from time to time such as bake sales, raffles and classic car shows etc.

By supporting the SAHVA gift shop, HELLP lottery tickets, fundraising events and initiatives, you assist in the purchase of leading-edge medical equipment which allows the medical professionals of our community hospital to continue to provide excellent care, close to home.
