About The ARRP

The Algoma Regional Renal Program (ARRP) provides comprehensive renal services and is one of 26 regional renal programs across Ontario. The program is a leader in the province and top-calibre physicians practice evidence-based medicine along with an extremely knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated staff, delivering quality care to renal patients across the region.

Patients benefit from the comprehensive services offered by the ARRP, including preventative care, education, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, psychological and social support, palliative care and transplant supportive care through a partnership with the London Health Sciences Centre.

Family physicians refer patients to an active outpatient renal clinic, serving as the first point of access to renal care at SAH. The focus of the clinic is on prevention, education and overall disease management with the goal of avoiding or significantly delaying the need for more intensive intervention such as dialysis.

The program features a multi-disciplinary team, including two Nephrologists, a dietitian,  social worker, pharmacist, nurses, ward clerks and many others, who are dedicated to providing excellent care and improving the quality of life for patients with renal disease.
