Marie and surrounding areas with work-related injuries. Axia Health is committed to providing high-quality, timely care—resulting in improved functional outcomes and strong return-to-work rates.
This partnership has brought significant value to the community by expanding access to essential services in Northern Ontario. Locally available services now include:
Specialist assessments: Orthopaedic Surgery, Hand Surgery, Neurology, Pain Medicine, General Surgery, and Family/Emergency Medicine
Treatment services: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic Care, Kinesiology, Functional Abilities Evaluations, Hand Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Concussion/Head Injury Care, and Surgical Interventions where appropriate
Expedited access to diagnostics: Advanced imaging services such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, and EMG testing

Occupational Health Hub
The Occupational Health Hub provides comprehensive assessment and consultation services to support the recovery and workplace reintegration of injured workers. The program includes virtual physician assessments for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions and mild traumatic brain injuries. It also offers expedited assessments for migrant workers, Non-Economic Loss (NEL) evaluations, complex medication reviews, and case consultations.
Specialized Recovery Services
These services are designed to accelerate access to care for workers with severe or complex injuries that hinder recovery and delay return to work. Specialized Recovery Services ensure timely assessments by physician specialists in fields such as Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, and Neurology. Patients also benefit from access to targeted, interdisciplinary treatment programs focused on occupational rehabilitation.

How do I access the Axia Health Clinic?
Only patients with work-related injuries are eligible to recieve care at Axia Health.
Healthcare providers who believe their patient is suitable for one of the services listed above can submit a recommendation to Axia. This can be done through the direct link provided below or by faxing it to Axia.
Patients who may be considered most appropriate for referral include:
- High degree of injury complexity
- Concern for chronic disability
- Delay in access to care (specialist evaluation and/or advanced diagnostics)
- Delay in expected recovery (recovery is unexpectedly slower than clinical impression)
- Delay in return to full work duties (prolonged period of modified work, unable to graduate to full duties where appropriate,…)
- Suspected development of chronic pain (CRPS, neuropathic pain,…)
- Suspected exacerbation/development of anxiety/depression/adjustment disorder/addiction
