SAH Orientation

Provincial Health & Safety Training Modules

All medical facilities in Ontario are legislatively required to provide standard health and safety training to workers. Due to the nature of your varied placements as a medical learner, you may have already completed the following training at another site.

Please review this list of modules below and either complete them or provide proof that you have completed them at another hospital. Proof of completion includes module completion certificate or verification from another Ontario hospital that clearly defines the module and date completed. 

The following orientation modules are to be completed every 3 years:

☐  WHMIS Training

☐  Accessibility

  Worker Health & Safety Awareness (*certificate required)

☐  Fire Extinguisher Training

☐  Donning and Doffing

☐  IPAC for Health Care Workers (includes 4 modules – Introduction to IPAC and Routine Practices, Foundational Elements in Routine Practices, Additional Precautions in IPAC and Applying IPAC Principles in Hospital Settings).

Using an up-to-date version of Google from a desktop computer or laptop is recommended to complete these modules.  All IPAC certificates must be submitted at the end of this training (*certificates required)
