Seeking Patient, Family, and Caregiver Partners

Sault Area Hospital is seeking patients, family members, and caregivers to join our Patient, Family and Caregiver Advisory Program. Working alongside local health and social service professionals, Patient, Family and Caregiver Partners contribute to an organization’s
ability to achieve the highest quality patient outcomes by representing the voice of the patient, addressing patient experience, and helping to implement positive change across programs and services. By working together, we can achieve better health outcomes, wiser allocation of resources, and greater patient satisfaction. At the heart is the belief that health system staff and
patients are working as partners in care.

“Being a patient advisor is an incredibly meaningful experience. It feels great to be providing the patient voice to hospital projects and teams. I always feel my perspective is welcome and valued, and I believe there are better outcomes with the patient voice at the table. I highly recommend this experience to any Algoma resident. It’s a great way to be part of improving local healthcare.” – Abby Obenchain, SAH Advisor
