Code Grey at SAH

July 19, 2024 – Sault Area Hospital called a Code Grey at 340 am. This is an Infrastructure loss. All computer systems including the patient electronic medical record are down. Telephone systems are operational.

The outage is due to the current worldwide IT outage. This is not a cyber accident.

SAH downtime procedures are in effect. Manual procedures may cause delays. Some patient procedures may be rescheduled. Affected patients will be contacted.

Patient safety is SAH’s priority and all emergencies will be prioritized. If you have an emergency, please call 911 or proceed to the Emergency department. Do not delay care.

Our IT department is diligently working to restore our computer systems as soon as possible. SAH will keep the community updated as soon as our systems are restored.
