After obtaining his Master and Doctorate degrees in urology from Benha University, he completed an Endourology Fellowship at McGill University. He also completed an Endourology Society Accredited Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Stone/Endo, a mini-fellowship in Thulium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate from Asklepios Hospital Barmbek in Hamburg, and a mini-fellowship in Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery from Tenon Hospital in Paris. Dr. Noureldin has clinical expertise in Stone Disease and Prostate Surgeries and has published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and received 15 international research grants and scholarships. “I have a keen interest in advancing research in urology at SAH,” he says. Dr. Noureldin completed an American College of Surgeons (ACS) accredited Surgical Simulation Fellowship from the University of Washington in Seattle, and very recently, he received a two-year appointment as a consultant for the international committee for Accredited Education Institutes at the American College of Surgeons.
When asked about Sault Ste. Marie and SAH, he says, “I like the City of Sault Ste. Marie. It’s quiet, it has close proximity to the USA and it’s quick and easy to get to Toronto. SAH offers rare specialties in radiation, interventional radiology and cardiac interventions. The hospital is set up for most urological and provides all types of care for urological patients.”
Dr. Noureldin is thankful to our urologists, the Physician Recruitment team, and many other physicians and administrative leaders. “The entire team has been very kind and welcoming.”
His family will be joining him in Sault Ste. Marie in the near future. “My wife, Hala Hadhoud is a Pediatrician and we have 3 children – Remas (grade 6), Mohamed (grade 4) and Malek (grade 1).” The family enjoys swimming, football, reading and travelling.
