- Adelina Stefanizzi, Laundry Helper
Adelina Stefanizzi began working at SAH in 1989, first in housekeeping, then in food services for 10 years and most recently, in October 2019 as a Laundry Aid.
She enjoys continuous learning and new challenges. According to Adelina, she has loved all her roles at SAH and especially enjoyed interactions with patients, especially children in Women & Children’s Health Program “Putting a smile on a patient’s face makes me happy,” she says. In her current role in the Laundry department, she is responsible for stocking carts for all patient care areas on a daily basis. “The carts contain items such as sheets, blankets, pajamas and flannels,” says Adelina. “I ensure that each patient care area has the required amount of linen on their carts.”
Over her 30 year career across several departments, Adelina had the opportunity to meet many people who she is proud to call her friends. “I’ve enjoyed working with many people over the years and I am part of a wonderful team in the Laundry department.” Adelina continues a long tradition of arriving at work early to enjoy morning coffee with friends.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves going for long walks with her husband and enjoys frequent getaways to Michigan in the summer.
We acknowledge Adelina for her dedication to SAH, her warm personality and her passion for continuous learning.
