Enhancing Post-Acute Care at SAH!

March 31, 2025 – Over the past five years, our Post-Acute Programs have evolved to better serve our patients. Now, we are taking another important step to ensure we continue delivering high-quality, specialized care.

Following a comprehensive review with Ontario Health, we are making key updates to our bed designations:

2A (26 beds) will now be fully dedicated to rehabilitation, with a strong focus on geriatric care.

2C (25 beds) will transition to a mix of rehabilitation (10 beds) and long-term complex care (15 beds).

These changes will allow us to:
• Reduce wait times for rehabilitation services.
• Optimize our bed capacity to better serve our patients.
• Ensure patients receive the right care in the right setting.

SAH is committed to continuously improving patient care. The realignment of beds within our Post-Acute Programs will enhance rehabilitation services and optimize the delivery of complex care, ensuring that patients receive the right care in the right setting.

We recognize that transitions like this take teamwork, and we sincerely appreciate the dedication of our staff in making this a success. Your support and collaboration are essential in helping us strengthen our services for patients and the community.

Thank you for your support as we continue to improve and strengthen our services for our patients and community!
