July 10, 2025 – SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent Text Messages

We have been made aware of fraudulent text messages claiming to be from Sault Area Hospital, asking individuals to complete an Interac payment via a suspicious link or call a specific number.

⚠️ Please be advised:

🔹 Sault Area Hospital does NOT request payment or send invoices via text message.

🔹 We never include payment links in unsolicited messages.

🔹 While we may send receipts electronically after a valid payment is made, we do not ask for payments this way.

If you receive a message like the one pictured, do not click any links or call the number provided. Report the message as junk and delete it.
