A local business was recently contacted by an individual claiming to be raising funds for a children’s magazine feature, stating that the donation would be directed to the hospital. The hospital is not involved in this initiative and warns the public to be cautious.

While some community groups fundraise with the hospital’s endorsement, any legitimate fundraising associated with Sault Area Hospital or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation is communicated directly through official channels. This solicitation is not endorsed by the hospital.

The hospital encourages anyone who receives suspicious donation requests to:
