What is the Patient and Family Donation Program?

This donation program was developed by patients and families for patients and families. The program is intended to meet needs by providing personal hygiene and comfort items. In keeping with our infection prevention and control practices, we are only able to accept new items. No gift wrapping please.  

What are we looking for?

Based on the needs of hospital departments, we are seeking the following items:

  • Socks and underwear
  • Shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products
  • Cross words, word search, Sudoku, colouring books, crayons, pens

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please call the SAH Foundation at 705-759-3848 and reference the Patient and Family Donation Program. Monetary gifts may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt. 

Where can items be dropped off?

Items can be brought to the Information Desk in the main lobby of the hospital Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. Items will be distributed based on the highest need areas. Please note that surplus items may be donated to community partners in the event that supply exceeds demand.
